Bhangarh Fort: The Cursed City of Rajasthan
Location: Alwar district, Rajasthan, India | Built: 1573 | Status: Protected Monument
The Legend of the Tantrik's Curse
According to folklore, a local sorcerer named Singhia fell in love with Princess Ratnavati of Bhangarh. When his attempt to bewitch her with a potion failed, he cursed the fortress with his dying breath, decreeing that every residence within would be destroyed and left roofless for eternity.
Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Mandate
By official order of the ASI, entry into Bhangarh Fort between sunset and sunrise is strictly prohibited. Heavy security patrols the perimeter due to mysterious disappearances and reports of disorienting auditory illusions.
Documented Anomalies
Visitors and researchers frequently recount intense feelings of anxiety, sensory deprivation, and unexplainable footsteps echoing through the royal palace ruins. Local villagers reside strictly outside the fort's historic boundaries.
